We the South African residents and businesses are getting our electricity supply cut in here South Africa by the National Power Supplier,Eskom which is highly unproductive and losing billions of rands in productivity.This is because of lack of of foresight and poor planning by the Directors of Eskom who for the past few years have received millions of rands in bonuses for this now dismal,unproductive and poor performance by Eskom in providing constant electrical power supply to consumers. Ironically there are hundreds of economically viable alternative forms of energy available to consumers who have been duped into thinking that we just have to accept this ridiculous situation. In other countries heads would roll for this kind of poor performance and alternative methods of power would soon be implemented and subsidised by the National Power Supplier. It's about time that people that were given jobs and put into positions of power, without merit ,because of the S.A Government's "Affirmative Action Campaign",took responsibility for poor performance and pay back the millions of rands in bonuses they received which should of been used for the planning and building of new power stations which are extremely necessary for growth of the economy and South Africas needs. On top of it the South African Government now wants to disband the only Independant Investigative Unit,The Scorpions that investigates cases of corruption in the government and South African Police Force. This unit consisted of highly efficient and intelligent forensic investigative teams of accountants,auditors,attorneys,legal investigators and lawyers that did a thorough job and were noted for their excellent performance in solving cases of corruption and bringing perpatrators to book. Who is going to investigate these cases of corruption now? How are they going to investigate these cases of corruption if we have so much corruption in the South African Government and South African Police Force. Judging by the Huge price increases in food and petrol never mind the 20% extra that Eskom is pushing for power price increases and the interest rate charged by banks for credit, I think South Africans of all colours and races are really going to have to tighten their belts and could be in for a real hard times,huge increases in the crime rate and a real rough and bumpy ride to so called "Democracy" in the New South Africa.
